MapleStory Star Force Calculator

Estimate enhancement mesos and destroyed equipment with Star Catch, Safeguard, MVP discounts and event combinations across six rule sets.

Historical no-boom option

This reproduces the archived no-boom function, not a PC-room price discount. The captured page has no active PC-room option.

Rules match the captured regional tables (2026-10-14 snapshot), not a live patch feed. Replacement equipment purchase prices are excluded. MVP discounts apply through the 15 → 16 attempt. Sources and formulas.

Monte Carlo estimates vary with seed and trial count. Min/max are observed samples, not theoretical limits. Boom percentiles use linear interpolation and may be fractional.

Plan your next upgrade

Event comparison

Keep level and star range fixed; compare no event, 30% off, 5/10/15 and Shining.

Replacement planning

Read destroyed equipment separately from mesos. Add spare-item costs before choosing an upgrade budget.

Risk reserve

Run percentiles with the same seed and enough trials to see how much a conservative budget exceeds the mean.

MapleStory Star Force Calculator FAQ

What does MapleStory Star Force Calculator include?

The selected rule set determines attempt costs, success, drops and destruction. Set equipment level, starting stars and target before comparing events.

Are replacement items included in mesos?

No. The mesos result covers enhancement attempts. Expected destroyed items are reported separately; multiply by your replacement price if you want an additional equipment budget.

Why do the average and sampled mean differ?

The displayed expected value is solved from the upgrade states. Percentiles come from finite seeded simulations, whose mean can differ from the exact expectation.

What is Shining Star Force in this calculator?

It combines 30% off meso costs with 5/10/15 guaranteed successes where the selected rules support them. It is not a forecast of the next event date.

When should I calculate percentiles again?

After changing an input. Exact averages update immediately, but the old sample table is hidden until a new simulation finishes.

Does a 95th-percentile cost guarantee success?

No. About 5% of modeled sessions can cost more. Observed sample minimum and maximum are not theoretical limits.

How do I compare this with MathBro?

Match server rules, equipment level, start and target stars, Star Catch, Safeguard, MVP, event and trial count. Seeded samples are not expected to equal another random run; compare rules and sufficient samples, not one maximum.

Can I reuse one estimate for another equipment level?

Change the level first: enhancement costs depend on equipment level. Keep the same regional rule set and event flags for a meaningful comparison.

Compare the right numbers

Exact expectation

A state-based average that updates with inputs; not a percentile.

Seeded simulation

A sample distribution for cost and booms; trial count and seed affect percentiles.

MathBro comparison

Match the selected rules and flags first. Different random sessions need not share a sample maximum.

Compare an enhancement budget

Choose the matching rules, set a target, and leave room for unlucky outcomes.
